It is the intent of the legislature that Afognak Island                       
State Park be managed from the Division of Parks                               
and Outdoor Recreation Office located in Kodiak.                               
                                                                               
It is the intent of the legislature that sources of                           
funding other than state general funds be sought for                           
the management of Afognak Island State Park.  It                               
is also the intent of the legislature that at least five                       
public use cabins be built within Afognak Island                               
State Park.  A primary source of funds to be sought                            
for these purposes is moneys managed by the Exxon                              
Valdez Trustees Council.
